Yesterday’s Review

0.5pt e/way Tufaan E Dubai (87) – It was right to take on the favourite Faraman who finished unplaced. Unfortunately, this was a difficult race to land on the winner who had been unplaced on two of his three starts. The selection couldn’t build on his easy trial win and it looked like the raceday experience proved too much for him as he never threatened and came home a well beaten eighth.

0.5pt e/way Spy Kingdom (101) – Again we managed to get the favourite unplaced but the selection couldn’t travel as prominently as is needed round this venue. He stayed on into fourth place but it looks like Jebel Ali suits him much better at the minute.

0.5pt e/way Little Queenie (105) – A great call from connections to take ten pounds off the back off this tough and game mare by putting Adam Grant on board. The race went as predicted with Adam able to set the fractions that suited his mount from the front. He kept enough up his sleeve for the finish to come home a half length in front of Bishopton (104) at the line. It was an excellent ride from Adam and hopefully it will spur him on to more success. Result 1st 9/2, 4/1 adv..7/2J SP.

Today’s Advice

GUARANI (6f Hcap) – This four-year-old’s course and distance form ties in well with another of this morning’s rivals Lahfaty from last season having just been beaten by a neck when receiving 7lbs from that rival. The selection is 2lbs better off for this morning’s (11.30) Jebel Ali and has already had his seasonal debut as opposed to his old rival who is coming back after a 274 day break.

Connections have tried stepping him up in trip last time out but he raced too keenly and he looks an out and out sprinter at the moment that should appreciate dropping back to his favourite distance. We will be hoping that he can show more this time around and there looks to be enough in his price to warrant a sporting interest.
