Yesterday’s Advice

1pt e/way Sadiqaa (94) 0.5pt e/way Hijo De La Luna (94) – The contested pace that appeared on paper beforehand never materialised with Blue Wood getting an easy lead out in front. Clarentine tracked the leader this time, racing keenly, followed by The Stray Sod. The first three from the start were the first three home. The main selection finished best in the home straight making up a lot of ground from the rear. There should be a little race in him when things fall better. He is entered tonight at Ayr in a weak enough race, but I will let him go considering the wide draw in stall thirteen and the lack of front runners in the race. I was right to have doubts about the second selection repeating his previous effort judging by his overall profile. He was worth a small interest at the 5/1 on offer returning 9/4 favourite, but he looks worth avoiding at the moment.

Today’s Advice

Another day of too much racing with eight meetings on in the UK and Ireland…Just one that looked interesting today.

Age Of Gold (7f Listed) – The favourite Bedtime Story won nicely at Leopardstown on debut, and looks a worthy favourite for the (2.30) Ascot, but I am happy to have a sporting interest in this son of Frankel who won nicely at Yarmouth and should appreciate the step up in trip. The time looks one of the best in the field, and it will be interesting to see if he can come forward from debut.
