0.75pt win Tokyo Tower (82) – A remarkable performance from the selection who had finished ahead of three of his main rivals the previous day to be beaten 26 lengths this time. His running style did demand caution, hence just the token win bet, and connections will now have a job getting him to reproduce his previous effort.
0.75pt e/way Erzindjan (99) – A more slowly run race than his previous one, but a big drop in performance just on RPR alone from 106 in a Group 1 to 93 in this Group 3 race. Although he has performed with credit following a seven day break in the past, this was obviously not the Erzindjan from his last two efforts.
0.75pt e/way Blackstone Cliff (96) – A complete reversal of the ride the horse received last time out, this time held up last and racing wide. While he wasn’t given the best of rides, I would be concerned about his form considering Dark Street finished 7 lengths ahead of him compared to when the selection finished ahead of him for his last win.
1pt e/way Power Drive (99) – Not the position I was expecting the selection to take up racing nine to ten lengths last at the 3 furlong pole. In the end he did very well making up the most ground of the finishers to be beaten 1 3/4 lengths. A more prominent ride should see him come good very soon.
