Today’s Advice

PEARLED MAJESTY (2100m Gp3) – The Group 3 Prix Noailles (3.25) Longchamp sees the Joseph O’Brien trained Hardy Warrior installed as the short price favourite following a decent fourth place finish over the mile last season behind Puerto Rico at Saint Cloud in the Group 1 Criterium International and a winning seasonal debut last time out at Naas. On his latest effort he made all the running and was well in command by 4.5 lengths at the line in a 3-horse Class 2 event. The step up in trip should suit on breeding as the dam won over the extended 10f at Dundalk but the price is very short all things considered.

The selection doesn’t have that fancy form on his CV but he was very impressive last time out over the 2000m trip at Saint Cloud in a Class 2 conditions race when he travelled with disdain for his rivals in the home straight before giving the 98 rated runner up a comfortable 3 length beating. The (105) timefigure indicates a slow enough run contest and it is good to see that International star Christophe Soumillon is back on board again today. We still don’t know how good this three-year-old colt is as he is lightly raced with just four races under his belt but I certainly wouldn’t have put him in as the outsider of the field considering he has won his last two races. He looks the value bet in the contest for me.
