White Mist (6F Hcap) – This four-year-old filly has has improved nicely since the recent application of a visor. She has won two of her last three races over this distance at Wolverhampton, and the horse that beat her in the other race has since racked up a hat-trick of wins. As a hold-up performer she will be seen to her best when the front runners ensure a truly run race. Today’s (5.30) Kempton looks to have enough pace on paper for her with prominent racers Revision, Dulcet Spirit and Araifjan in opposition. She has performed with credit at this track in the past, notably when not getting a clear run behind Boom Boom Pow over 7f last June. She looks worth a small interest to transfer her recent form over to today’s surface.

Due Date (6F Hcap) – The handicapper has reacted to this four-year-old’s recent fine form by raising him 7lbs in the handicap to a mark of 58 for tonight’s (6.00) Kempton. His latest win by 3 1/4 lengths from Banana resulted in a Racing Post Rating of 67+, and considering he was once rated 70 by the handicapper, it looks like he still has a pound or two up his sleeve. Like White Mist we have to go back to last year for some confirmation that today’s conditions should be fine. A RPR of 68 over tonight’s C&D behind Grenham Bay last April would indicate that he should be effective under tonight’s conditions. He has been well found by the market, but still warrants an interest in continuing his recent form.
