0.5pt e/way Tales Of The Heart (100) – A decent effort from the selection managing to hit the frame having been backed from 10/1 into 11/2. A better break from the gates helped her cause, but she couldn’t find another gear when needed. It was a quick turnaround since her last race fifteen days ago, and her third race in thirty days. A break looks needed now, and a step up to seven furlongs could be worth exploring going forward. Result 3rd 10/1, 9/1 adv…11/2 SP.

0.5pt e/way Zarzyni (99) – A decent enough pace set by the winner, if not the pace meltdown we were hoping for, enabling the selection to make the frame. He had every chance at the business end, and should be suited by a stiffer finish and a more contested lead going forward. Result 5th 10/1 adv…8/1 SP.

0.5pt e/way Sunway (111) – A below par performance on the clock by the selection who failed to replicate his performance from the Irish Derby. A barging match with Bluestocking before the home turn did not help his cause, but he couldn’t find the extra gear needed at the business end. Perhaps this race came a bit too soon for him, as we know he can perform much better on the clock.
