Starsoftheclock Sunday 30th March 2025 Selections And Review

30th March, 2025 @ 9:17am

Yesterday’s Review

0.75pt e/way Look Back Smiling (95) – The drying ground didn’t help the selection who is seen at his best on a softer surface. Nevertheless he has performed well on a Good to Soft surface in the past, and one would have expected a better performance than a well beaten fourteenth.

0.5pt e/way Whip Cracker (96) – The selection had every opportunity to go and win his race when the gaps opened but was found wanting. It could be argued that the gap closed too quickly on him when he was challenging over a furlong out, but he didn’t look good enough to quicken when needed to me.

0.5pt e/way double.

Today’s Advice

MAGNIFICENT NINE (7f Hcap) – This five-year-old course and distance winner has been in decent form lately and almost overcame a wide draw in stall eleven last time out, just going down by a neck to Armour War Eagle. He had previously won cosily from a better draw in stall seven by a length from Forerunner, and an even better draw in stall three for today’s (11.00) Sha Tin should see him go close. The danger is the favourite Another World who will appreciate the drop back from the mile, but does have a 42 day absence to overcome. It should be an interesting battle between the two market leaders.

1pt e/way Magnificent Nine (1pt e/way 7/2 William Hill, 10/3 General) 11.00 Sha Tin

I would advise those with Paddy Power/Skybet/Betfred accounts that can avail of the extra place to do so.
