The selection couldn’t find an extra gear off this pace and it could be said that he needs everything to fall right for him in his races. Result 4th 13/2 adv…6/1 SP
0.75pt ew Qeyaady (93) – The selection blew the start and was ridden wide around the entire field to lead after three furlongs before weakening over a furlong from home. A performance to put a line through but one can see why he struggles to get his head in front.

Diomed Spirit (5f 21y Hcap) – This four-year-old has been rising steadily up the handicap following three wins in a row on the all-weather. A faster than par speed figure of (110) over C&D from a lowly handicap mark of 66 in October served notice of what was to come. The handicapper has raised him 16lbs to a new mark of 82 following his most recent win, but he still looks well treated. He usually races in touch with the leaders, and there should be a decent pace on tonight with Night On Earth and Strong Johnson providing the pace on paper. Everything looks in place for a solid effort back over the same C&D where he has put up his best performance on the clock.
