Today’s Advice
FAYASEL (7f Hcap) When a horse’s last five form figures read 66536 you can usually guarantee that you will get a decent price if you can find reasons for these mainly unplaced performances. In Mike Murphy & Michael Keady’s 3yo gelding’s case, when looking at his All Weather form, he has had poor draws for his last four efforts on the sand – (12)(9)(14)(10). Despite that he has still performed very well on the clock for a Class 6 performer. Last time out he got involved in a pace duel with Macho Mania over the extended 7f at Wolverhampton, and was still only beaten 3.75L recording a speed figure of (98). His C&D effort (99) when 3rd behind Ben Hamrash in July from a wide draw reads very well in the context of today’s race. Remarkably the handicapper has dropped him 2lbs for his last effort, so he can race off a mark of (58) which is 8lbs lower than when he was placed in a (0-65) at Kempton in May behind Vasilissa. Harry Davies takes the ride, and I am looking for him to be able to get a nice position from stall (6) behind the leaders as there looks to be a good bit of pace in the race with Dulcet Spirit and Macho Mania the likely pacesetters. If Harry can get him to relax behind the pace early he should have every chance at the business end.
