Today’s Advice

Mr Stanley (7f 14y) – This five-year-old caught the eye last time out staying on in a very strong race for the grade over 6f at Newcastle. The handicapper has dropped him another 2lbs to a career low mark of 56 for today’s (3.12) Southwell. He is having his third run for new trainer Philip Kirby, who has employed hold up tactics on the son of Kodiac. He has made the running in the past, and today’s distance fits in with his earlier career profile. Today’s race may not be run to suit his new running style, but he looks worth a small interest from a tumbling handicap weight.
