Yesterday’s Review

0.5pt e/way Glamorous Express (105) – A fine display from the selection to hit the frame in a race where the contested pace never really materialised. There was enough pace for Jack Doughty’s mount to make some nice headway from the rear in the home straight, and it was encouraging to see a return to form. There should be another win around the corner soon, but his style of running is always going to make things more difficult. Result 3rd 25/1 adv…18/1 SP.

Today’s Advice

Abraaj (15f 169y Hcap) – This Simon Pearce trained six-year-old has found a nice vein of form on the All-Weather since recording a very strong (112) speed figure over two miles at Newcastle when coming home two lengths clear of Zephlyn. That race has shown itself to be a decent piece of form having since yielded five victories for four different horses. The selection has since placed at Kempton, and showed a nice turn of foot over course and distance when coming home three lengths clear of Young Endless. The handicapper has given him a five pound penalty for today’s (2.20) Lingfield taking him to a mark of handicap mark of 69, but there could still be more to come from this ex-French trained horse who was once rated 86 when he started his career in the UK. Jack Mitchell takes the ride again, and we will be hoping for a decent pace from prominent racers such as African Star and Dotties Star.
