Today’s Advice

AL HEMROOR (12f PA Hcap) – An interesting card at Riyadh but it must be said that most of the markets have been priced very well. The (4.40) Riyadh looked quite an uncompetitive race on the clock. The favourite Rabah Goodah looks the right choice considering he has been performing well from wide draws over shorter trips. He should appreciate the step up in trip to twelve furlongs and I awarded him a strong (59) timefigure when finishing runner up by a half length to Alghabra over ten furlongs back in November. He does set a decent standard but is priced accordingly.

The selection has been performing well in Doha for trainer Hamad Al-Jehani and was the standout performance on the clock when last seen romping home by 6 lengths back in November over 9f 98yards. I awarded him a (68) timefigure on the day, which would indicate that he is thrown in off his current handicap mark of 77. He does have form over ten furlongs but today’s trip is a step into the unknown. He has also switched trainers in the meantime. But on a quiet day I was happy to have a small interest at the prices on offer.
