Yesterday’s Review
1pt e/way Gustav Graves (98) – A return to form for the selection, as predicted. Unfortunately, he came up a neck short despite being backed in from 13/2 into 16/5 favourite. He deserves to get his head in front sooner rather than later. Result 2nd 13/2 adv….16/5F SP.
0.75pt e/way Gypsy Whisper (96) – A race not run to suit the selection who was always out of position, and was forced to make her challenge widest of all from three furlongs out. She lacks early pace to get into a good position in her races.
Today’s Advice
Dark Side Prince (5f 21y Hcap) – This 6yo has dropped down the handicap from a high of 72 last winter to a lowly 64 for tonight’s (7.00) Wolverhampton. A (107) speed figure lto over this C&D from a wide draw when placing third behind Sixcor showed that he has now returned to form. While he looks held by that rival on that form, the turnaround at the weights and better draw in stall 2 tonight may see him get a lot closer. It will be interesting to see how the short priced favourite Not Too Real Bad performs on her debut for the excellent Mick Appleby stable.
