Yesterday’s Review
0.75pt e/way Nibras Rainbow (96) – Usually when I get involved in a Class 5 race I am hoping for the unreliable types to run poorly, and those drawn wide to be at a disadvantage. In this case neither happened. The race turned out to be the fastest handicap on the card with 50/1 winner Relevant Range (108) deciding today was his Super Bowl, and the first four home drawn 7,14,13,16 with a 40/1 shot in the places! The selection didn’t get the clearest of runs in the straight, but he never looked threatening despite this.
0.75pt e/way We’re Reunited (Non Runner – Travel Problems)
0.5pt e/way The Riverrunsdeep (95) – The selection broke well and looked to be in a great position to mount a challenge in the straight. Unfortunately the response was minimal, and he weakened quickly out of contention. A far cry from his previous two efforts.
0.75pt e/way Northstead Gardens (98) – Once again, similar to the first race today, the winner Harlington (103) put up a career best, and overall the race finished way stronger on the clock than one might have anticipated beforehand. The selection never got a clear run from two furlongs out, but her lack of a turn of foot is always going to make things difficult for her going forward.
