Today’s Advice

Thoughtful Gift (7F Hcap) – Newmarket based trainer Jack Jones has made an impressive start to his training career since his first winner Chagall at Chelmsford in November 2022. He has been operating at a 14% winning strike rate on the Flat since then with multiple winners such as The Waiting Game, Mitigator and Louisiana Bay to mention a few. Classic winning rider Silvestre De Sousa takes the ride aboard tonight’s selection in the (6.10) Lingfield, and I am willing to allow her two most recent efforts on what looked an unsuitably soft surface. She has won her last two races on the all-weather over a mile, and a recent win at Brighton over just short of seven furlongs gives encouragement for tonight’s drop back in trip. Hopefully there will be enough pace in tonight’s race with prominent racers such as Mount Mogan and Fayasel to allow her to show her best.
