Starsoftheclock Tuesday 2nd June 2026 Selections And Review

2nd June, 2026 @ 9:32am

Yesterday’s Review

0.5pt e/way Marquessofanglesey (105) – An excellent effort from the selection who almost made all the running only to go down by a nose at the line. The “models” were almost caught out again as he drifted from a morning price of 11/2 out to 14/1 before going off at a more sensible price. There should be a win in him very soon. Result 2nd 14/1, 12/1 adv…8/1 SP.

Today’s Advice

FLYING FLETCHER (8f Hcap) – The (8.15) Newcastle looks an interesting contest with the short price favourite Military Leader the most likely winner as he attempts to record a hat-trick of wins for trainer Philip Makin. There doesn’t appear to be any out-and-out front-runner in the contest but the top three in the market have made all the running in the past. The selection looks the most backable price of the front three and with plenty of firms paying an extra place he looks worth a small interest. He will more than likely be attacking from midfield and staying on late in the day. Ethan Tindall (who won aboard Good Karma last night at Wolverhampton) will take 5lb off the selection’s back who is now just 1lb above his last winning mark. The former course and distance winner kept on all the way to the line last time out in a hot Hamilton handicap on the clock, and meets the second place Quiet Resolve on 10lb better terms and from a better draw in stall 3 tonight.
