He found one too good having raced prominently and was just headed inside the final furlong having led over a furlong out. Bright (109) returned to his career best having dropped seven pounds below his excellent third to Mondammej over course and distance back in January. There should be a win in the selection soon. Result 2nd 4/1 adv…9/2 SP.

Today’s Advice

TOKEN LOVE (9f 104y Hcap) – The (8.00) Wolverhampton looks a competitive contest and a decent case can be made for the short price favourite Salaria who is seeking a hat-trick having won at Lingfield over ten furlongs and tonight’s venue over the extended mile. She has recorded (104) timefigures her last three starts, and as she has only been winning by a neck the handicapper has only raised her three pounds since her latest win. It will be interesting to see how she is ridden from stall ten and Cieran Fallon, who was on board for her latest win, takes the ride. Everything looks in place for another solid effort but the price is a little bit shorter than I would have liked.

The selection looked very unlucky not to break his duck last time out over course and distance when dropped to a career low mark of 60. He raced prominently from stall eight and looked to hit the front a shade too early over two furlongs from home when nailed on the line by the winner. Considering that was his first run in over five weeks there might just be a bit more to come this evening. A similar type effort from a better draw in stall six would see him competitive for tonight’s contest and he looks a bit overpriced following an early morning drift in the betting.
