Today’s Advice
Distinction (8f 6y Hcap) – This six-year-old has won his last two starts on Turf, and it may be worth allowing him his latest run at Newcastle where he has yet to place from seven starts. With twenty one millimetres of rain forecast for today’s card, conditions should be to his liking with two career wins already on Soft going. The pace angle looks promising for today’s (4.45) Pontefract with Diddy Man, Coolree and Mulciber in opposition. As a hold up performer Connor Beasley’s mount looks to have plenty in his favour today. He has placed form from similar handicap marks in the past. The favourite Bateman looks unexposed, and should benefit for the step up in trip, but at the prices I am happy to have a sporting interest on the John Mackie trained gelding.
