1pt win Pals Battalion (109) – Another solid effort from the selection just failing by a neck to reel in another horse in red hot form in Mondammej (110). He didn’t travel as well as last the day but was closing down the winner near the finish, and another couple of strides would have probably seen him in front.

Today’s Advice

Bomb Squad (6f Hcap) – The selection goes for the hat-trick in today’s (3.50) Southwell following a career-best effort on the clock last time out, and looks to have every chance of completing it. Jockey Cieren Fallon takes the ride again, and the handicapper has only raised him 2lbs following a brave win last time out. The draw is a little trickier in stall seven today, but there should be pace from Sir Rodneyredblood to bring him into the race. The main danger on the clock would appear to be Bellagio Man who has been known for inconsistency in the past, so a repeat of the selection’s last effort should be enough to get the job done.
