Today’s Advice
ATMOSPHERE (8f Hcap) – This four-year-old has taken a real shine to tonight’s course and distance with a win and two places from his last three races since the visor has been applied. The handicapper has been kind to him as he has only gone up 4lbs in the handicap. His head victory over Frostmagic last October has been advertised with next time out wins for the third (Moonjid), sixth (Grey Soul) and seventh (Studious). He was held up in midfield on that occasion and only went down by a half length to Uniting (who won again next time out) over course and distance the following month. A three month break followed and he matched his (105) timefigure from that performance last time out when finishing third behind Zoffandia while carrying 7lbs more on his back. The fourth placed Tadreeb has won since giving the form a decent look.
Stall 13 does make things a bit more difficult for tonight’s (7.00) Kempton but jockey George Wood has won on him before and should be able to find a position in behind front runners Rey De La Batalla and Valentine Boy. The John Butler trained Final Night looks the one to beat as he attempts to record a fourth course and distance win but the handicapper has added 17lbs to his handicap rating since the first of his wins last October and at the prices on offer the selection looks worth a sporting interest against the favourite.
