She’s a Novelty (11f 104y Hcap) – This nine-year-old has been performing with great credit for connections since returing from a 628 day break at Nottingham last season. On that occasion she just failed to win for this column at 25/1 beaten three quarters of a length by My Chiquita. Three wins and two places on the Flat since has demonstrated that she has still got plenty to offer, and she looks a little unloved in the market for today’s (4.40) Yarmouth. Her most recent win came at Catterick in a race that has thrown up three individual winners since in Star Start, Haliphon and Kingsley Pride. The handicapper has raised her just three pounds for that win and that is offset by her apprentice jockey Ben Sanderson’s allowance. She looks worth a sporting interest to maintain her consistent run of form.
