Starsoftheclock Wednesday 22nd April 2026 Selections And Review

Yesterday’s Review

0.75pt e/way Crimson Rambler (95) – A fine effort from the selection to pick up the bronze medal beaten 3.5 lengths considering the race was not run to suit and he received a bump in the home straight when asked to quicken. He can win one of these when they go faster up front. Result 3rd 11/2 adv…8/1 SP.

1pt e/way Have Secret (115) – A career best performance from the selection on the clock who tracked the leader before taking up the running two furlongs out and coming home just over 2 lengths clear at the line. He has put up big numbers on the clock in the past and has not backed them up next time out….Result 1st 4/1 adv….4/1 SP (Rule 4 10p)

0.5pt e/way Grabajabba (98) – The first three home raced nearest the stands side rail and the selection was marooned out in the middle of the track coming home in ninth place beaten just over 4 lengths. I would be willing to give him another chance when he has a more favourable draw and can race closer to where the pace develops.

0.5pt e/way Gorgeous Mr George (99) – I was expecting better than eight place from the selection but it should be noted that the longest break he has had away from the track in 18 career starts was 25 days before today. He looked like he might be coming with a challenge two furlongs out but weakened out of it. His next race should offer no excuses.
