Unfortunately, the Stuart Williams trained Eminency (105) (who had endured a troubled passage) found an extra gear to lead just before the line….Result 2nd 9/2 adv…7/2F SP.

1pt e/way Ohmali (97) – The selection recorded a timefigure three lengths inferior to what he should have achieved at the weights compared to his Gowran Park win. It didn’t help that he made his challenge nearest the rail whereas the first four home came down the middle….

Today’s Advice

KING OF ITHACA (7f Hcap) – Last time out winner Kit Gabriel showed decent form following a switch to the Simon Pearce Stable making all over course and distance. The pace he set was far from electric and it will be interesting to see if the other prominent racers in tonight’s (8.10) Kempton apply some pressure to him.

Jersey Maverick is better drawn tonight than last time out and How Impressive also likes to go forward. The selection pulled hard last time out on seasonal debut but still managed to finish nicely behind Kit Gabriel beaten just four lengths. He had a decent all-weather season last winter with two wins at Southwell and his neck second to Arctician over course and distance back in January would tie him in well with the favourite. He looks the right price for a sporting interest with a bit more pace in front of him tonight.
