Pink Oxalis (7f Hcap) – This four-year-old looked a shade unlucky last time out over course and distance when selected by this column. As a hold-up performer she does need luck in running, and she hasn’t had a lot of that in her most recent starts. Last time out she raced in rear from her draw in stall one before making headway in the home straight. She didn’t get the clearest of runs before running on inside the final furlong to finish second to an impressive winner Fly To Glory on the far side of the track. That horse has since come out and won again so we know the form is strong. Five pound apprentice Jack Kearney takes the ride and he has shown himself to be more than capable with 18 wins since the start of last year from 141 rides (12.77%). It looks a competitive enough contest for the (4.17) Dundalk with plenty of horses in form such as Amemri, Ferrari Dessert and The Cola Brasil to mention a few. The more pace the better for the selection, and even though front runner Blue Wood is in opposition with prominent racers Wild Mountain and Senado Square we will be hoping for others to get involved.
