Today’s Advice

CAFFU ZAFEEN (6f Hcap) – This five-year-old has recently taken advantage of a near two stone drop in the handicap since trained by James Tate back in 2024. Trainer Paul Flynn has coaxed him back to form having completed a hat-trick of wins last time out over the minimum trip at today’s venue. A course and distance winner the time before that the handcapper has had to take swift action by adding 10lb to his latest mark. The selection usually races in touch of the leaders and has shown an impressive turn of foot at the business end of his races. Apprentice jockey Orla Tynan takes a handy 7lb off for today’s (5.15) Dundalk and going by recent results it certainly looks like there is another win in the locker.

Today’s opposition represents a step up in class but plenty are returning to the track following breaks of over two months. The selection himself has had a few weeks off, but I will be siding with the Paul Flynn trained three-year-old until his winning streak is over.
