Today’s Advice
Heerathetrack (7F Hcap) – This five-year-old gained his first success at the twenty fourth attempt in January over seven furlongs at Chelmsford when finishing a length ahead of Monitola. On that occasion, he took up a midfield position from a wide draw before making headway over a furlong out and leading inside the final furlong. The re-application of the visor looks to have worked well, as he may have appeared an unlikely candidate to win next time out judging by his profile. However, he did just that over this course and distance when winning nicely by three and a half lengths from a wide draw eleven days later. While he stuck to his task admirably when finishing third over a mile last time out at this venue, tonight’s drop back in trip for the (7.00) Kempton should see him in a better light. He has now ran three nice races in a row, and looks to posess that consistency that is rarely seen at the lower level. A better draw in stall four should also help his cause considering he has been drawn wide in those three events. The current favourite Freetodream has caught the eye a few times, without getting the job done, since his impressive win at Brighton last year, but at the prices I am willing to take him on with the selection.
