Yesterday’s Review
1pt e/way Tilsitt (95) – A remarkably poor performance from the selection who was backed from 14/1 into 15/2. It looked like racing on or near the pace was a big advantage with the first four horses at the 3f pole finishing in the first six. Special mention must be given for two horses who made up the most ground from the rear – Painters Palette in third and United Front who finished fifth.
0.5pt e/way Mossbawn (58) – Finished last of 15 beaten 45.25L and is a long way from his past form.
1pt e/way Molinari (86) – Another race where the first five at the 3f pole finished in the first seven. Ravenscraig Castle and Grace’s Quest were the only ones from the rear to make headway into the first five finishers. While the selection’s position was a big disadvantage, it was a surprise how much he regressed from his last run.
0.75pt e/way Ciotog (97) – The pace that looked to be in the race never materialised as the expected front runners raced with more restraint than expected. This can’t be used as an excuse for the selection who looks out of form at the moment.
Today’s Advice
GEARING’S POINT (11f 179y Hcap) Sheena West’s mare looks on an upward curve lately, and looks on a nice handicap mark of (54) for today’s (5.45) Leicester over the extended 11f. She looked unlucky two runs back when not getting a clear run at Windsor and finishing third beaten 0.5L with today’s rival Blazer Two well held in behind. She has since made all at Yarmouth recently over the extended 11f. George Bass takes a valuable 3lbs off, and he has won on her in the past.
