0.5pt each way Numidia – supported into 13/2 and ran a decent race, on Heavy ground, securing the place money. Ideally I would have prepared him to challenge away from the inside rail but he was beaten 4 1/4 lengths in the end. Result 4th 10/1 advised….13/2 SP.

Today’s Advice

Athmad (8F 13Y Handicap) Ideally we would want a decent pace for our selection considering he is more noted for racing over longer distances than today’s. However the re-application of blinkers from a low handicap mark of (69), three runs back over Course and Distance, has sparked a massive revival in form. That day Antagonize set a decent pace for our selection to aim at before he duly came through to lead inside the final furlong having raced near the rear. Athmad has since won again at Wolverhampton over the extended mile and was just beaten a head last time out back over the same course and distance, again at Wolverhampton. Hopefully today the likes of Candy Warhol and Chief’s Will can ensure enough pace for the selection who is due to go up a further 2lbs in the handicap from the weekend.
