Yesterday’s Review
1pt win Chairmanoftheboard & 1pt win Aleezdancer – A fine effort from Chairmanoftheboard to reach the frame yesterday where an each way investment was the smarter call on the day. A liitle bit below his (108) speed figure, when third behind Blackrod last year, but a step back in the right direction. The concerns about the track for Aleezdancer looked to have been merited. Two poor performances at this track now, and it will be interesting to see where he goes next.
Today’s Advice
Beaumadier (5F Maiden) this lightly raced 3-y-o tries to break his maiden tag at the fifth attempt today in the (4.35) Tipperary. The Michael Grassick trained bay recorded a very strong (106) speed figure at Cork recently behind Pineapple Island over today’s minimum trip. The ground was Soft to Heavy that day, and Billy Lee attempted to make all towards the near side before just going down by 1 1/2 lengths inside the final furlong. A reproduction of that effort will make him very difficult to beat on today’s Yielding to Soft surface. The danger in the betting is Takashi Kodama’s filly Daisy Jones. While her speed figures aren’t as strong, she did place in a very decent maiden at Navan last October which has since yielded seven wins. Our selection will have to be in top form to take care of Cian MacRedmond’s mount
