Today’s Advice

Wild Shot (12F 110Y Hcap) John McConnell’s likeable gelding races off a 1lb lower handicap mark than his last winning mark in the (7.45) Tipperary tonight. The 9-y-o returns to a more suitable trip having raced over the extended 9f at Gowran Park lto. The selection kept on nicely to finish sixth on that occasion, and the handicapper has kindly dropped him 2lbs. Tonight’s Good (GFm in places) ground should hold no fears for him with a win already at today’s track on Good To Firm over 12f 60y in 2021. Donagh O’Connor takes the ride and he has ridden 12 winners from 45 rides (26.7%) with 11 placed for the trainer in handicaps on horses which are 10/1 or less. Everything looks in place for a solid performance from stall (2).
